"He descended below all things,..." Visions of Glory

"He descended below all things, so that He could overcome all things. And when He overcame all things, then He was prepared to take us by the hand and lift us above all things."

You are never alone in your sorrows and afflictions. There is someone who understands everything that you have ever gone through and will ever go through. Faith in this knowledge will help you endure all things in this life. Trust in the teaching of Christ, have faith that when we obey Him we will have the strength to endure all things.

"He gave His life to not only provide the path to these glorious things, but also to bestow upon us the empowerment of His grace, so that we are sanctified by Christ. Then He changes us to be like Him, not because we deserve it, but because He loves us and has empowered us to triumph when we obey Him"

“Wherefore, be not weary in well-doing, for ye are laying the foundation of a great work. And out of small things proceedeth that which is great.”

D&C 64:33

In our lives sometimes we feel as though most of what we are doing does not really matter. Our lives seem uneventful and mundane. Our simple acts of kindness go unnoticed, our sacrifices unrewarded, and our service to others is unappreciated. In D&C 64:33 the Lord tells us that out of these small acts great things will come. Sometimes we can't see the outcome, but know that when you are doing the Lords work, and His will, great things will come, for it too is His work and His glory.

Family is our Top Priority

"Sometimes in our busy, over-scheduled world, we have to remind ourselves what really matters. Most people say family is their highest priority, but in the pressure of day-to-day demands, it is challenging to put family first and think about the needs of spouses and children ahead of all the other needs and craziness we deal with every day."

"As our literal spirit brothers and sisters, children are worthy of our respect and diligent care, and parents are their stewards rather than their creators — stewards who should do their best to discover who and what each of their children already is and to raise all of them accordingly. In this context, praying for help in understanding and raising our children is a direct appeal to the real Parent, who knows them (and us) perfectly."
